Pakistan wants to mend 'trust deficit' with India

ADDU, MALDIVES: Pakistan's foreign minister says she hopes to discuss with her Indian counterpart ways of closing a ``trust deficit'' between the archrivals and combating regional terrorism.

Pakistan's Hina Rabbani Khar[1] and foreign minister S M Krishna[2] participated on Wednesday in a foreign ministers' meeting before an eight-nation South Asian summit in Maldives.

South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation or SAARC[3] will have its 17th meeting on Addu atoll in this Indian Ocean archipelago starting Thursday.

Khan and Krishna will have bilateral talks on the sidelines of the summit.
